Update on ‘Sanskrit & Vedanta’ Classes
Posted on: 1/9/2020

These classes continue to be highly successful!  Enjoyment is a key factor as well as active learning. Students gain an excellent standard of knowledge over the two years of study. Most of the 2018 class, when the time came, wanted to prepare for the IGCSE exam in 2020. Unfortunately, however, the pandemic intervened. Undaunted, many of these students will now continue to study the Higher Level* course.

A new ‘Sanskrit & Vedanta’ class started in April 2020 and currently has 30 attendees.

Classes had to move online, of course, but will eventually return to St James School, Olympia, London, when safe to do so.

*A Higher Level exam is being provided by Sanskrit @ St James as a replacement for the A level which is currently unavailable. This exam allows students to aim at the next stage after the IGCSE. Most importantly it sets a sure course for ongoing study. The material encompasses a wider range of texts and is philosophically rich in content. The exam will be set and marked by experienced volunteers but results will not be recognised by universities as evidence for admission.
