A new Sanskrit/Vedanta Class – April 2020

YOU ARE INVITED THIS SPRING TO JOIN A NEW COURSE IN SANSKRIT AND ITS TIMELESS LITERATURE

 

The course is for beginners & will commence at 9 am on Saturday morning 25th April 2020, & continue on Saturday mornings thereafter, at:

St James Senior Girls’ School, Earsby Street, London W14 8SH

THE COURSE BEGINS WITH LEARNING THE DEVANAGARI SCRIPT

THE BASIC GRAMMAR OF SANSKRIT IS THEN TAUGHT USING OUR OWN SET OF TEXTBOOKS

CLASSES ARE SUPPORTED BY A FULL COURSE OF VIDEOS

Participants will be prepared for the Cambridge IGCSE Sanskrit exam (which in its final stages incorporates study of the Bhagavad Gita in the original language).

Also included in the course is an exploration of the various genres of Sanskrit literature with particular reference to the cultural and philosophical background of the Ramayana and Mahabharata epics.
